Mr. Kashif is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, Fellow Public Finance Accountant, PGD in Islamic Banking & Takaful and Certified Shariah Compliance Auditor, with an extensive knowledge and more than 20 years of experience of Takaful & Insurance Regulatory Supervision, Development of National and International Legislations, Accounting/Reporting Standards related to Takaful & Insurance Industry, Regulatory Offsite Examination & On-site Inspections and Advisory & Consulting Services.

He is currently associated with the Capital Market Authority (CMA – Oman) as an Expert Advisor (Insurance & Takaful) and previously served at Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as a Joint Director, Head of Supervision Wing of Insurance Division.

He has also practiced the profession of Chartered Accountancy while associated with a firm of Chartered Accountants as a Senior Partner in Pakistan. Existing Member of various workings groups of AAOFI (Bahrain) and IFSB (Malaysia) for the Development of Standards for Takaful Companies & Supervisory Authorities and Arab Union of Insurance Regulators for Implementation of IFRS 17 in region.

Also a Member of FinTech Committee, Technical Auditors’ Advisory Committee, XBRL Committee of the CMA. Served as ex-Member of Shariah Advisory Board of SECP.
