Budget 2012: Foreign lenders unlikely to provide deficit financing

Navy revises down the number of attackers

The Pakistan Navy on Wednesday retracted the number of Mehran base attackers that it cited in its First Information Report (FIR) lodged at the Shahrae Faisal police station on Tuesday. Bad weather may help in stabilising cotton prices

Unfavourable weather condition in the country and also partly because of fresh rise in the NY cotton market may help in stabilising the prices of cotton, brokers said. The Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) official spot rate was unchanged at Rs 8,500, they said. SBP expands scheme to revive SMEs, agriculture sector

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has expanded the scope and extended the validity of the Refinance Scheme for Revival of Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) and agricultural activities in flood affected areas of the country.
