Country ships out rice worth $562mn
The country's rice exports have surged to a staggering $562 million this month, according to Mian Muhammad Azhar, the Chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP).
Chairman Reap talking to private TV news channel, said that in September alone 0.2mn metric tonne basmati rice was exported at an average price of $1,460 a tonne compared to $667 last year.Meanwhile, the sale of non-basmati rice was reported at 0.3mn metric tonnes at $772/tonne as compared $370 previously more...
